The North Bay Children's Center was recently recognized during the iWork Well Workforce Wellness symposium as the 2014 Featured Local Best Practice!
Following Dr. Rick Carvolth, MD, CMO St. Joseph Health as the Keynote Speaker, and Supervisor Shirlee Zane as the Master of Ceremonies, Susan Gilmore was able to present on the wellness policies of NBCC, and our commitment to providing our future workforce with a healthy start.
On Wednesday, April 30th, Susan Gilmore participated in Are We Crazy About Our Kids? The Cost/Benefit Equation of Early Childhood Education.
This event was attended by about 100 people representing a cross section of ECE providers, school officials, city officials, business individuals and Petaluma residents. The movie was filled with research based evidence on the long term benefits of quality ECE programs with economists and business leaders espousing the real need for the U.S. to get behind policy to support the development of a more comprehensive system.

More than 120 guests gathered for an intimate evening at the home of Gil Purcell and Roxanne Sheridan to kick off a series of events celebrating NBCC’s 25 years of excellence in education.
Folks sipped wine and tasted signature dishes prepared by some of Marin’s finest restaurants while touring the historic Pines mansion.
One of the highlights of the evening was a performance in the candle-lit wine cellar by the world renowned Cypress String Quartet.
Donations generated from the event will support NBCC’s school readiness and Garden of Eatin’ programs at its six sites in Marin and Sonoma County. To make a donation go to www.nbcc.net .
