Gem of the Week

The School Age Program recently studied the Rain Forest through written curriculum their teachers had prepared.  They learned about the canopy and the various animals as they progressed through staff presentations as well as books.  The end result was a cooperative mural which is hanging on their classroom wall.  It is a drawn and colored masterpiece of their collaborative work depicting a variety of animals they studied complete with habitats.  The joy of the experience was considerable for them.  If you haven't had the chance to see it, please visit the Tinker Way classroom and ask one of the staff to show it to you.
