The preschool program serves children from 3Ð5 years old, focusing on school readiness and preparation for kindergarten. Our program hours are 9am to Noon with extended hours until 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
NBCC's preschool program is designed to nurture creativity, build self esteem and self respect, while fostering the child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. This is accomplished largely through quality teachÂer/child interactions and ageÐappropriate activities. By letting children know that they are safe, secure, and valued individuals, we encourage their natural curiosity and desire to learn.
Our curriculum consists of a wide array of pre-math, pre-reading, movement, cooking and an emphasis on open-ended art and science activities. The exploratory opportunities in our program are absolutely necessary to the developmental growth of your child.
NBCC's low teacher-to-child ratio of 1:8 is recommended by the California Department of Education for optimum learning. The teachers in the classroom are certified in elementary education, early childhood education, or hold their child deÂvelopment permit issued by the State of California.
