Planned Giving Legacy Programs

Planned Legacy Giving consists of individuals who have thoughtfully included North Bay Children’s Center in their estate plans or wills. These gifts of forethought and generosity can take many forms, including bequests, living trusts, wills and life income plans which name NBCC as the beneficiary. These gifts support North Bay Children's Center in Novato, Petaluma and Santa Rosa.

  • Cash or Real Property Gifts in any amount allow you to realize an immediate charitable tax deduction to reduce your income taxes.

  • Wills or Living Trust Gifts allow you to name NBCC as a beneficiary to reduce taxes on your estate.

  • Appreciated Stocks or Bonds Gifts avoid capital gains taxes, entitles you to a charitable income tax deduction and eliminates taxes on the income from those securities.

  • Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust (C.R.A.T.) allow you to give appreciated stocks or bonds during your lifetime or in your will. You get an immediate charitable tax deduction and you avoid paying capital gains taxes. The trust pays a potential tax-free income to you during your lifetime. Upon your death, whatever remains of the principal passes tax-free to NBCC. It also avoids or reduces estate taxes.
